Three Salina men have been arrested for allegedly plotting a murder. Kansas Bureau of Investigation Special Agent Doug Younger says that multiple officers from multiple agencies worked together late Sunday night and early Monday morning to make the arrests at locations throughout Salina. Those arrested include: Alex Karcher, 22, of 1616 Tanglewood Lane Xavier McCray, 22, 1012 Pershing Xavier Lewis, 24, of 2032 Norton Each was booked into the Saline County Jail on a million dollar bond. Younger said that the investigation is still ongoing, with 30 – 40 officers actively working it. Younger said that he could not yet release any other details, including who the three were allegedly planning to kill, and why. He said officer safety was a concern.

Younger said it was fair to assume that is is drug related. Officers from the KBI, I 135 / I 70 Drug Task Force, Salina Police Department, Saline County Sheriff’s Office, and the McPherson Police Department are all working on the case, and more arrests are possible. The case is unrelated to the current unsolved murder in rural Saline County which is also currently under investigation. (click photos to enlarge).

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTOn 11/27/18, the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office began receiving complaints from citizens about a telephone scam. During the call the citizen is advised that the caller is Chief Deputy Miller with the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office and they have a warrant for their arrest due to failing to appear in court. The caller further advises the citizen that to avoid being arrested they must call (706) 403-2725 ext.201 and pay to have the warrant dismissed. The Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office will never call and advise you to pay money over the phone to avoid being arrested.

If you receive this type of call simply hang-up and DO NOT provide any information to the caller. Please share this information with your friends and family so they will not become a victim. UPDATE.The offender of this incident has been identified. The offender is a juvenile and the juvenile's name can not be released by law.

INFORMATION NEEDEDBetween 9:00PM on and 1:40PM on, an unknown individual(s) vandalized Gospel Way Baptist Church located at 31 Bowling Road Ringgold, GA. The individual(s) broke into the church and caused damage throughout the interior and exterior of the church.
