Go through the years' worth of posts on this subject to see where they are on this. I believe it is a non-issue now. If they come up with something, then fine and good.

If not, that is okay by me. What I didn't like were the years of promises — even with a proposed name MoneyBug and, I believe an app icon — but they have not said anything about development on this for a long time now. I believe they learned their lesson about making promises.

I am not switching to another app, as CBPro is far superior to all the other apps in what it does. I have tried most, if not all, of the personal finance apps out there over the years and I keep coming back to CBPro. It is a fine app and the support is excellent either directly with the staff, or through this forum. I do not need or want all of the bells and whistles that other solutions have. I especially do not like apps which download transactions automatically and then arbitrarily categorize your transactions. I like to maintain far more control over this aspect of things, so that is not for me.

I do not need to use budgeting and some of the other features of those other apps. If the folks at Splasm come up with a mobile solution, fine and dandy. If they never come up with a mobile solution, fine and dandy. I have a work around which I have written about. It is fine for me and really does not hamper my workflow at all. But then again, I only use this work around when I am overseas and do not have my computer with me.

Long story short. If you are looking for a mobile solution right now, then go somewhere else. Splasm may or may not ever come up with one.

I'm quite happy either way. And now that they have quit talking about it, I do not have my hopes up. And that is fine, too! I bought CB Pro in 2011 and have really liked it. But that was before I got married. Now sharing an account with my wife, it is more difficult to keep CB Pro up to date so we can always know what we have in our account. Last September, I started using Mint (by Intuit of TurboTax fame).

At first it was a little difficult to get used to, but over time we have figured out the nuances. Not only do we have our main bank accounts connected, but also all of our secondary credit accounts, student loans, mortgage, etc. If we write a check or do a transaction while we are out and about, we open up the mobile app and enter it in as a pending transaction. When the transaction ultimately goes through, the pending transaction is removed and replaced with the bank reported transaction.

Best of all, everything updates automatically albeit the updates do happen only periodically so as to not create any issues with the connected accounts like logging in too many times in a time period that makes it look suspicious. But whenever you log in, you can go into the settings and force refresh the accounts. Also, when you categorize each transaction, it allows you to set up budgets and alerts. My last entry in CB was in November and I won't be using it anymore. I’m delighted with CBP. But, like others, I want an iOs version simply so I can record a transaction on my phone, and have it show on my desktop.

Like others, I don’t need all the bells and whistles of other apps; just a way to avoid manually transferring data. Maybe through DropBox, like some other apps sync. Have you tried Pocket Money? I use that for my mobile solution. I can easily export my files into CBPro. You will want to set up the accounts with names identical to the ones in CBPro. Then export the qif file in an email.

It is then a simple matter of importing these into your CBPro file. Been doing this for years.

Hello Sami n everyone else. Thanks,Raja Standard Posts: 49 Joined: Sat Feb 04, 2006 1:16 pm Location: Pakistan. Hi Raja, The new invoice format option is perfect for what you need. You do not need to modify the default invoice file INVOICE.FRX, the new system can have as many formats as you want, there is an extra invoice format file called INVOICE1.FRX which you can modify.

You can also copy the invoice or invoice1 files, but you have to do that under Windows and there are 2 files for each format, one ends with FRX extension and the other ends with FRT extension, so if you need to create more format files, and you want to name the new file INVOICE2 copy INVOICE1.FRX to INVOICE2.FRX and INVOICE1.FRT to INVOICE2.FRT, then to enable the new invoice2 file, just go to MAINTENANCE SYSTEM SETUP SALES and enter the invoice format file name there. Thanks for your prompt reply.I try to open the invoice1 file and the error'file does not exist'comes up.I have also copies invoice1.frx &.frt and renamed them to invoice2.frx &.frt.Then going to system setup it dosen;t open.I don't know where i am going wrong.I am glad you have a lot of patience,Sami. Hi Keith, To modify the the template, you have to know the template's name.

To do that, run the required report and display it on screen. The report name will be at the very top after the Report Designer text, the report name normally ends with FRX, note it down, then go Windows START and choose the Retail Man Icon, then choose the Report & Labels Editor, once opened, click on file Open then choose the report from the list, it will be displayed for you to edit. Once done, you can then save. Note that you can't Run the report while its open in the program and vice versa. Site Admin Posts: 715 Joined: Wed Oct 19, 2005 5:00 pm Location: Australia. TRYING TO CHANGE AN INVOICE/PURCHASE LAYOUT.

Ooops Excuse the shouting. Caps where locked on. So as above, I want to extend the characters printed in the REF# field (actually the field next to it - fRefNo).

I have deleted the Company Details (we use an Image) and moved all the fields containing Number, Date, Ref.#, Terms, etc. To the left some, and then extended/stretched them. I've even looked at the properties of (fRefNo) and clicked Stretch with Overflow. Still can't get all the characters.

Ohhh wait a Cotton Pickin Minute! The text box on the forms entry on Purchases accepts the text but chops it off when saved. No wonder it's not printing:banghead: it's not there. Very annoying this Sami, don't allow entry if it's not going to be saved, it happens elsewhere, it's bloody frustrating. One of those little REALLY annoying PITA things. OK Rant Over. Can you fix the entry to reduce to number of accepted characters then make the field a bit BIGGER?

Hi All, I am configuring my invoice template. I have done he rest of the layout the way i want - is there anyways that I can generate totals to be displayed at the bottom of the invoice? Australian Tax Law requires that we display the 'Total Inc GST' but also list the GST component GST - being tax.

Ideally, I would like to include the following 'totals' at the bottom of the invoice. Total - excluding any taxes total of all taxes on that invoice total including all taxes amount paid to date Total Balance remaining I am guesing that this could probably be done using the smarty variables.

But I am not super experienced with smarty Standard Posts: 3 Joined: Fri Jun 19, 2009 7:11 pm Location: USA. Raja wrote:Hello Sami n everyone else.
